KONG is our high-powered competition rocket for IREC 2023 with the goal of testing a novel airbrakes payload with custom avionics to measure force on descent.

Tuatara is Launch Initiative's first two stage rocket attempt and, if successful, will serve as the foundation for a future space shot attempt. Tuatara will have GPS tracking for recovery.

Dragonfly-44Dragonfly-44 is one of our Space Race rockets aims to test a Smoke-Flare recovery system.
OTIS is our high-powered competition rocket for IREC 2025. The rocket won the Charles Hoult Award for Simulation & Modeling and named the "Best Deployable Payload" by SDL. This rocket is the first time we have earned full points on recovery since Covid. We tied for the best tech report with another university. Overall we earned 16th place and 11th place in our category.
