Airframe

VOID's airframe is made almost entirely of composites, featuring a wound carbon fiber booster, milled Dragon Plate fins, wound fiberglass payload and avionics sections, and a molded fiberglass nosecone.

Payload

Funded by the New York Space Grant, our 3U CubeSat payload deployed at apogee and descended on its own parachute, streaming live video to the ground. To extend the payload's battery life, we designed the power distribution board DARWIN to allow for remote control over the camera and power-hungry video transmitter.
