Rock Bottom

About the rocket

  • No payload due to the focus on unique avionics
  • Contains a magnetic umbilical cord to supply power and collect data while the rocket was on the pad
  •  Uses a sensor board to collect as much data as possible with a an accelerometer, a barometer, a magnetometer, and a few thermometers
  • Contains an extra computer onboard to manage the switch from umbilical power to battery, plus to record the data from the sensor board
  • Utilizes magnetic ports for the umbilical to attach to
  • The team created a website to see the data from the umbilical live
