Test Stand

What is the Test Stand?

The purpose of the test stand is to safely test the performance and operation of the liquid engine system. The design will transfer thrust force to the ground securely keeping the engine in place and will be capable of handling forces much greater than that of this engine minimizing risks involved. Further minimizing danger is a rigid and solid steel thrust plate that prevents a misfired engine from damaging the fuel tanks. The test stand is a combined effort project between the Solid Propulsion Team and Liquid Propulsion team in order to safely test their engines.
